THE married woman who slept with a 16-year-old boy, resulting in him having ulunyoka has come out in the open. She has offered to assist in the healing of the boy.

In an interview yesterday, the boy’s uncle said the woman contacted them on Wednesday and told them that she was willing to assist them. It also emerged that the man who had fenced the woman was not with her anymore.

“We were contacted by the woman on Wednesday when she explained that she had travelled to Zhombe to look for her former husband who is behind the ulunyoka,” said the uncle.

“She told us that the man who fenced her was her former husband and they were no longer together.

“The woman said she was now staying with another man and she also wanted to sort the matter out so that it does not affect her new man.

“The woman told us that when she told the former husband about the matter, he assaulted and chased her away. She then returned to Kwekwe and is now willing to work with us to save the boy.”

The uncle said the woman told him that her new husband was not affected as they used “protective measures” before engaging in sexual intercourse.

“We will be travelling to Kwekwe soon to meet the woman and conclude this matter,” said the uncle.

“The boy is slowly improving now and we are confident that after meeting the woman, he will be successfully healed.”

The uncle said herbs that were given to them by a Malawian traditional healer were more effective than the tablets prescribed for the boy by a city doctor.
Dr Godfrey Dzvairo, who operates a surgery at Nkulumane’s Sekusile Shopping Centre volunteered to treat the boy free of charge last week.

Although Dr Dzvairo declined to share the boy’s ailment with this paper, it was discovered that of the prescribed tablets was Ciprofloxacin. According to Wikipedia Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic chemotherapeutic antibiotic with antibacterial qualities. The drug is not recommended as a first line antibiotic.

The boy, who comes from Shurugwi, revealed that he met the woman soon after getting a job at Bell Mine, popularly known as Bhero Mine, about 40 kilometres from Kwekwe.

He said after he was intimate with her, he felt some itching on his private parts and three days later a strange snake would appear from nowhere and enter his body through his foot. When it reached his private parts it started eating him.
