AN A-Level student yesterday shocked the public when she was caught red-handed having sex with a tout (hwindi) in a kombi.

There is no better example of the term “Sex and the City” popularised by a series and movie of the same name! The kombi was turned into a love nest in broad daylight at Market Square bus terminus. The man who is believed to be a tout (hwindi) was alleged to have had sex at the back seat of the kombi with his “lover”, only identified as Fortunate Mpofu. It was an unfortunate day for FORTUNATE since she was the one who failed to run like the wind to escape prying eyes, while her hunk made good his escape Usain Bolt style!

The kombi was parked in the middle of the bus terminus — much to the view of the unsuspecting, shocked and eventually heavily entertained city public. To make matters worse, the sexual encounter took place 20 metres away from a police post! The 32-seater commuter omnibus was temporarily turned into a rabbit hutch to please the tout’s sexcapades as he worked away like a humping rabbit.

The tout could not be identified as he escaped through the window and took to the heels when the crowd suspected that something was wrong in the kombi. “They were right at the back seat in the empty bus and the two were stuck to each other while the girl in braids was half naked,” said one of the eye-witnesses.

“When they were identified, the tout jumped out through the window and ran away,” said the witness. When H-Metro arrived at the scene there was chaos! “The girl was caught and she is in the police tent,” said one onlooker. Efforts to get full details from the police proved fruitless.

It was unclear how the kombi driver was allowed to drive away after his half-pleasured tout had run off. Inside sources, however, indicated that the driver managed to clear himself at the police post at Market Square. “He distanced himself from the whole issue, but it was controversial.

“However, he was not the one caught in the shameful act and maybe that is how he was let to drive off free,” said the source. It could not be ascertained if the tout was employed along with the driver of the Kombi since some touts tend to be “free-lance”. “No information about the tout was given,” added the source.

The police had to put the accused girl, Fortunate, into their armpits. In an effort to avoid the H-Metro camera, a taxi was sourced to whisk the girl away with the help of the police. But our team could not be outdone. A chase ensued to identify the busy body and the team caught up with Fortunate before she entered the Harare Central Police Station.

She had earlier on revealed to heated questions from onlookers that she was an A-Level student though she had not revealed the college where she is enrolled. She was probably merely just putting the A-Level biology class notes into good practical use! Police spokesperson Inspector James Sabau could not furnish H-Metro with finer details.

“I’m now out of office for the day but I will give you the details tomorrow,” he said. Efforts to get a hold of Fortunate inside the Central Police Station proved fruitless too after she was mysteriously declared to have vanished and could not be located! She eventually was FORTUNATE.
