Rusape, August 22, 2010 - Hair extensions cost a 27-year old Rusape woman after they were trapped and rolled into a grinding mill she was operating on Friday.

Winnet Tsoka of Number 1038 Vengere Township in Rusape sustained serious head injuries and died upon admission at Rusape General Hospital.

Police spokesperson in Manicaland Province, Inspector Brian Makomeke said the woman was trying to investigate an unusual noise emanating from the grinding mill while the electric motor was running.

“Tsoka was on duty operating an electric grinding mill when she heard an unusual noise emanating from the grinding mill. She tried to investigate while the electric motor was running. The fan belt of the grinding mill caught and rolled her hair extensions,” Makomeke said.

“She sustained serious head injuries in the process. She screamed for help and was assisted by Eric Mashingaidze. They rushed her to Rusape General Hospital where she died upon arrival.”
