Cop in extra-marital affair with gold miner's wife

The businessman is now on separation with his wife and the two are living in different houses.The visibly angry gold miner said an assistant inspector based at the CID Fraud Section was at the centre of the couple’s divorce, which is yet to be finalised.

“Sometime last year, I received information that my wife was having an extra-marital affair with a policeman but this was confirmed after the officer came to me purportedly to assist in the release of some guys who were arrested. He told me he was sent by my wife but I queried why he got the information from my wife. That made me believe he was dating my wife,” he said.

The businessman, who has two children with the allegedly adulterous wife, said the policeman started dating his wife last year in October.He added that the CID officer impregnated his wife who gave birth in July and he has refused to take responsibility of the child.

“Even when my wife gave birth in July I refused to assist in accessing a birth certificate for the kid. I only went to get the birth certificate last week after my parents who are staying in the rural areas intervened,” said the businessman.

He said his vicious wife force-marched him out of their matrimonial house in the affluent Kumalo suburb and he moved to Pumula South.The businessman noted that his wife was enjoying intimate moments with the policeman regardless of the fact that they were still legally married.

He said the policeman also assisted his wife to get a mining licence and a fake registration certificate.“They are using my vehicles to do their dirty deals and the policeman is also enjoying the wealth I created for my wife and kids. The policeman’s friends tried to talk to him to stop dating a married woman but he rubbished them,” said the businessman.

“Most of the property is in my wife’s name but she has decided to betray me and date someone else while we are still legally married.”Contacted for comment, the businessman’s wife denied that she was dating a policeman.

Instead, she said, her husband and the policeman were best friends.“I’m his (businessman’s) wife and I tell you I’m not dating anyone. I think he is mad. Actually, he is a friend with the policeman and that has nothing to do with me,” she said.

The allegedly adulterous woman said she never chased away her husband from their matrimonial home but he voluntarily moved out.The policeman also denied that he was dating the married woman, saying he would press defamation charges against the businessman.

He, however, admitted that the businessman had publicly accused him of dating his wife.“He has no evidence whatsoever that I am seeing his wife. It’s all lies,” said the policeman
