Ruth seeks her Zimbabwean dad

Ruth Mutemi, 23, is searching for her father, Jesse Michael Mutemi, a Zimbabwean national. In the 1980s, Mutemi, a musician and trader, met Nakayito, Ruth’s mother and the two started living together. The family lived in Nsambya, Kampala.

Mutemi often travelled between Uganda and Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, after one of his trips to Zimbabwe, Mutemi took a while without returning to Uganda and Nakayito got another man. The two continued living in the house Mutemi had rented.
When Mutemi returned and found Nakayito with another man, they separated. At that time, Ruth was hardly a year old.
Mutemi is said to have left for Zimbabwe, along with a number of other children he had produced with other Ugandan women.
Years later, Ruth’s maternal uncle, William Mutongole, gave her some details about her father. Ruth never got the chance to meet her father and has no pictures of him. But she says those who met him describe him as a short, fat man, with a light complexion. They also say she resembles him in height and facial features.
Today, Ruth’s mother Nakayito is a peasant living in Buyala, Wakiso district, while Ruth lives in Nakabugho, Wakiso and can be reached on 0775308105, or through her cousin, Jimmy Katende on 0712186846.
